#200

This is my 200th post. I will use this post to post about the past year...

Dec-Jan 2008
We spent New years with our Friends Keith & Sue with their 4 kids. Our Friends Kenny & Jodi and their 2 kids came as well (well Kenny and the kids did as Jodi was sick). Josh had just turned 2 and we started out the night with a birthday party and then just continued it into a New Years Party. It was a blast. We did fire works around 10 so Kenny and his kids could get home to Jodi and spend the rest of the night with her. We finished the fireworks at midnight to bring in the New Year.

February 2008
We got our Tax Return and purchased our plane tickets and hotel reservations for our Trip to Chicago to take place in August.

March 2008
Our co-ed softball season started. Loved everyone on our team and we had a blast all summer!

April 2008
WE FINISHED OUR BATHROOM (almost).

Went the Boise with Joshs parents and spent a weekend + 2 days with Mandy, Cory, and the kids for Carters birthday.

We got a new car cause of an accident that totaled our other one.

May 2008
Went to Helena to celebrate Elexis (our neice) birthday. Mandy, Cory and the kids came down from Boise to celebrate it with the family so we made the trek from Belgrade.

It is always nice seeing them.

We wish we lived closer to them.

June 2008
Josh and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary.

Our friends Conrad and Ali came down for the weekend and we went tubing.

Josh went Backpacking at Ramshorn Lake. We finally got our shed.

July 2008
Spent the afternoon and night with our backyard neighbors for the 4th. Did a BBQ, hung out and went to Bozeman for the fireworks show. Started the process with Big Brothers Big Sisters to get a little brother. Conrad and Ali came down and we floated the Madison River.

August 2008
Our Friends Randy and Devlin got married.

Our friends Kyle and Lyndsay got married. Josh turned 26. We finally took our trip to Chicago (it was a blast).

I turned 24. We got our little brother. His name is Nic and he is 6. My parents came down from Washington to look over the house while we were gone and when we came back had a solid 4 days to spend with them.

September 2008
Conrad and Ali came over for a weekend but family emergency happened and had to go home early. Hung out with little brother Nic alot. We finished our Softball Season.

October 2008
We did a pumpkin carving contest with Little brother Nic. Had a Halloween costume contest at work.

I made my halloween costume (I was Pippi Longstocking).

Had only 6 trick-or-treaters.

November 2008
My parents and Granny came down for Thanksgiving. It was my grannys first time to our house and we absolutely loved having her there. We are glad that we had so many extra places to put people to sleep. We did a family picture with my family.

Dec-Jan 2009
Went to Helena to make Christmas Candy. Hung out with some friends doing dinner and bowling. So much fun. Took our annual Christmas Card picture.

Went to Helena for Christmas and was there for 5 days. Mandy, Cory, and the kids were there. They (the kids) are getting so big. Even though they live so far away the kids still recognize us, which is great! Elexis spent the first few days we were there shy and not coming to many people. Then towards the end of the trip she went to everyone and switched people every 5 minutes or so.

We spent New Years with our Friends Keith and Sue and their 4 kids. Kenny and Jodi came with their 2 kids. Danielles boyfriend came over as well. It was quite the housefull. It was Joshs 3rd Birthday so we started the night with his birthday party and then just transformed it into a New Years party. We shot off some fireworks at 10ish because Kenny, Jodi, and the kids needed to get home to spend the rest of the night with their Grandpa that was visiting. We then played a little Guitar hero, Kareokee (sp), ping pong, and finished the fireworks around midnight to bring in the new year.

Overall it was a great year!

Sunrise

So the quality of this picture isn't the best, but you get what you can get when all you have is the camera on the phone.

We were on our way to work this morning and I thought it was a pretty sunrise.

So I decided to share it with you.

Paperclips

Here I am at work and making some copies. I took the paper clip off the papers and set it down and proceeded to make my copies. I then looked down and this is what I saw...

I didn't think you could balance a paperclip on its edge like that, especially without even trying.

Snow...

We were running some errands on Saturday and it was snowing the entire time. This is what we had to shovel when we got home around 2PM.
It has yet to get above 0 degrees since Saturday night, though the high today is 1. Here is hoping. Tomorrow its supposed to be around 5-8 degrees above zero... HEAT WAVE!!!!

Christmas Season

While my parents were here the Saturday right after Thanksgiving we put up all our Christmas decorations.

I had to take a lot of our pictures down to make room for decorations. It happens every year.

We are heading to Helena on Friday to make candy with family. We are trying to see if we can hang out with some friends while we are there... Not sure if it is possible this trip. If we can't we will definitely make time while we are there for Christmas.

Thanksgiving 2008

Here are 2 of the 10 place mats I made for this Thanksgiving and the rest that will be had at our house.

Here is the centerpiece I came up with. I like how it turned out!

Here is the table before the food goes on...

This was our first Thanksgiving at our house. We had my family from Washington over as well as our friend Danielle. Even my 85 year old Granny was able to make it. It was a very nice Thanksgiving.

We all decided that we wanted a family picture taken, so we headed for the park. I placed the camera on a garbage can and squeezed everyone close and hit the 10 second timer. It turned out pretty well for a spur of the moment kind of thing.

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!!

Sunday

We had Nic (our little brother)over and played some new games that we recently bought. Granted they are kids games, but we do a lot of babysitting and its always good to have games that kids are able to play.

Ker-plunk - a new favorite

Don't break the ice - pretty fun, it requires more set up then what it takes to play the game.. That's ok, its still fun.

Don't spill the beans - makes you kind of try to think of where to place the beans.

Uno - tried it and he is still too you for the concept of it.

Do you have any favorite kids games??

Saturday

Well, we went to see the movie Twilight on Saturday night. Josh and I both enjoyed it, and he hasn't even read the book yet. I think that they did a very good job choosing the characters for the movie, they all played their part well.

I read book 2 on Saturday night/Sunday morning. It was a slower read then the first book (also almost 80 pages more) but still a very good book. Now I can't wait to finish the series. I hope they make a movie for New Moon. If they do I sure hope they use the same people. That always makes life easier.
