Fall

You can always tell when its becoming more fall like.

Not only are the tree leaves changing colors but the air is getting more and more crisp in the mornings, the windows on cars are starting to need to be scraped in the mornings, you are wearing warmer clothes, and you can start seeing snow in the forcast.

It was a nice summer, not to hot and not to cool. I am not, however, ready for winter yet.

We already have some house projects aligned for the winter to keep us busy on the weekends. I will keep you all updated as we get closer to them...

Sunday

Boy was Sunday busy!!!

We started off the afternoon with our neighbor Ellie's 9th Birthday!!
She was totally all smiles!!

We then proceeded her birthday with spending a couple hours with our little. The first hour was spent catching ants for this...
We caught a total of 28 ants.
We took it back to our house and played some Candyland followed by Twister. We then decided to take a look at the ants to see if they started makeing their tunnels...Low and behold.. The two little tiny holes in the top of the lid to let extra air in the ant farm (found out later holes aren't needed) were letting the smart little suckers out. We now have about 19 ants roaming our living room. The last 9 in the ant farm still hadn't started to make the tunnels when we left the house this morning for work.

We will probably try to catch a couple more to get the ant number back up tonight. The holes are now covered as to not let any more out.

We finished the day off with another birthday party for our friends' now 5 year old daughter, Abbie.
She also was all smiles!

Heros

Tonight is the start of the new season of Heros. So exciting!! We have a friend coming over and will probably make it a weekly event until the season comes to an end.

We did it last season at a different friends house and this year its our turn...

If you are a fan of the show catch it at 7PM MDT time.

Fall Festival

This past weekend was Belgrades Fall Festival. We helped out neighbors with the parade for their business and then helped them with their booth at the park for a while.

The kids were getting restless so we went and rented the movie "Beauty and the Beast" as they have never seen it before. Watching it reminded me of how much I liked watching it when I was a kid.

Definitely a great kids movie. The fun parts way out weigh the scary parts for 4 year olds.

Fundraiser

So I got an email today from one of our friends' kid, Miles.

His school is doing a fundraiser, well here is the email and the link.

It's Miles here! I am emailing you because I am participating in a fundraiser for Ridge View Elementary School, and I would like to ask for your help!

Could you help me and Ridge View Elementary School by clicking here and making a purchase online at www.ShopBelieve.com.

You can choose from lots of products like wrapping paper, bags, tissue and cards from American Greetings, Magazine Gift Vouchers from Time Warner, Music and Movies from Sony, candles, sweets, calendars, gifts and more.

By helping, you will help me reach my goals for the fundraiser.

Thank you very much for your help!

Miles

I went ahead and got some christmas wrap and odds and ends. If you could help him I am sure his school and he would appreciate it..

Thanks in advance!!

Comedy

While we were in Chicago we went to a comedy/improv around 9 at night. Josh and I didn't think that most of it was very funny, though a lot of the other people in the audience were laughing and about falling out of their chairs. Josh and I just kept looking at each other like "Was it really that funny??"

I guess we are just spoiled with our friends and their improv/comedy nights.
We are usually laughing pretty hard at them. Is it cause we know the people? Is it because we live here and get the humour? What is it that makes things hilarious to some and not funny to others?

You can get a glimpse at the show times here. We are going tonight at 8. It's going to be good.

SPORE!!

So I just got this new computer game called Spore. I really like it.

You start out as this^ and then make your way through evolving into something different. You eventually can become civilized and create your own world. Still working through that part though. You make all your people look the way you want them to look. It's really neat!

The animation put into the game is amazing. What you see here is exactly what you see while you are playing the game.

I recommend it to those who like games such as the Sims or games like it.

Little Brother Nic

We finally got our little brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters. His name is Nic. He is 6 years old and a ball of energy.

We spent a couple hours with him on Saturday,
took him to the splash park here in town.

Hung out in the park a little longer and played on the toys...

Then played a little soccer.

The day started out really nice and ended up in a nasty windy storm. We were able to get him back to his mom before the weather turned for the worse.
